Master Sergeant Eric Dollarhide is a native of Pipestone, MN. He enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard in November of 2001, completing Basic Combat Training (BCT) at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Lee, VA. In 2006, MSG Dollarhide transitioned from the Army National Guard to active duty and completed One-Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Benning, GA.
His previous assignments include 1st Squadron, 89th Calvary Regiment, 2nd IBCT, 10th Mountain Division; 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd IBCT, 4th Infantry Division; 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st SBCT, 25th Infantry Division; Task Force III, Operations Group, Joint Readiness Training Center (ABN); 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd MBCT, 101st Airborne Division (AASLT); and currently Saint John’s University, 3rd BDE, United States Army Cadet Command.
MSG Dollarhide has held the positions of Automatic Rifleman, M240B Machine Gunner, Fire Team Leader, Rifle Squad Leader, Rifle Platoon Sergeant, Assistant Operations NCO, Operations Sergeant, Rifle Company First Sergeant, and Headquarters and Headquarters Company First Sergeant. His special duty positions include Reconnaissance Squad Leader, Reconnaissance Platoon Sergeant, and Observer-Coach-Trainer. He is currently serving as the Senior Military Science Instructor at St. John’s University, the College of Saint Benedict, and St. Cloud State University.
MSG Dollarhide has served on two combat tours to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and two combat tours to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He has also served on one deployment to EUCOM in support of Operation European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce.
MSG Dollarhide is a graduate of Air Assault School, Airborne School, U.S. Army Ranger School, Advanced Situational Awareness Course, Combatives Level 1, Combatives Level 2, Infantry Light Weapons Course, Basic Leadership Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Sweden Winter Warfare Course, Maneuver-Senior Leaders Course, JRTC Observer/Controller Course, Master Leaders Course, and the Company Commander & First Sergeant Course.
MSG Dollarhide’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (3), Army Commendation Medal (6), Army Achievement Medal (4), Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal (5), National Defense Service Medal, Afghan Campaign Medal (2 Stars), Iraq Campaign Medal (3 Stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (4th Award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (4th Award), Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/ M-Device, and the NATO Medal. MSG Dollarhide has earned the Combat Action Badge, Combat Infantry Badge, Expert Infantry Badge, Norwegian Foot March Badge, Ranger Tab, Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge. He is also a recipient of the Order of Saint Maurice and the Order of Saint Michael.
MSG Dollarhide has one son, Diego (19).
