December 2009 Alumnae/i Notes
The duo of Juliet '04 and Tommy '04 'O'Keefe is a study in diverse experiences. Tommy is in Bagram, Afghanistan as of last April and is due home in May 2010. Home at the time for Juliet, soldier's wife, is Heidelberg, Germany where she's had family visitors, Bavarian tours, visits to Amsterdam and Belgium, as well as the Czech Republic. The good news is that Tommy has R&R in Jan. and they have planned a trip through Egypt. As Juliet says: "It should be an experience of a lifetime." [email protected] and [email protected]
Military News: Jake '05 and Tessa Johnson as of Christmas time were on their way to Fort Rucker in AL where they will be for 6 to 8 months. -- Bill Kundinger '90 has orders to the Citadel where he will report in April. Nancy '89 says: "We are excited to be back permanently in Mount Pleasant." -- Chad Edlund '00 was promoted to major on Dec. 1; wife Erin Peterfeso '03 says they will be heading to Dallas, TX "when/if our house sells." Their newest family member, Haylee Noelle Peterfeso Edlund arrived on Nov. 17. Congratulations on all the new events!
Before the baby came, Marcus '04 and Teresa '04 Needham took a trip to Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. All in all, the Czech Republic was their favorite. Marcus continues with John Deere in Iowa as Production Supervisor building 4-wheel drive loaders. -- Paul '86 and Susan Nakasone and four children enjoyed a wonderful trip last summer through southern Germany in a "stylish purple Mercedes-Benz rental minivan."
Curtis '87 (Col.) and Linda Carson are stationed in Bavaria and enjoying their opportunities. 2009 was the 20th anniversary of their marriage, presided over at the time by yours truly, in Iowa. Congratulations! The opportunities they are enjoying include: Paris, the Alps, Budapest, Salzburg, Venice, Berlin, Neuschwanstein, etc.
