A Message From MAJ David Larson

Thank you for the invite and the information on the upcoming Fighting Saints Battalion Alumni Gathering.  I am a mobilized Reservist currently in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and will be unable to attend the gathering.  Please congratulate the newly Commissioned Lieutenants on my behalf.

My Unit is the 335th Signal Command (SC) Theater and is a large organization with over 7000 Soldiers in different Commands throughout the world.  In South West Asia (SWA) we are broken into three areas Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan.  Our primary mission is to transform tactical communications to a reliable robust commercial infrastructure.

I am assigned to 335th SC(T)(Forward) in Baghdad.  Locally there is less than a dozen members to this group, but we office with several other organizations representing over 100 people from all branches of Service as well as civilians.  We work together on many communications projects and are a fairly close group.

A parting note to the Graduating Class.

Your determination combined with a positive can do attitude have produced a significant milestone in your life.  Each of you has much to offer, so take the time to lead and teach your Soldiers by helping to growth into the next generation of Army leaders.  Be proud of your service in the US Army.
