St. Joseph County Road 2/Minnesota Street Roundabout Construction

Construction of a new roundabout will begin at the intersection of County Road 2 and Minnesota Street in St. Joseph on Tuesday, July 8. This work is anticipated to last through the end of August, although dates and timeframes are weather dependent. 

A detour has been put in place as this intersection will be closed to through traffic. If your campus visit plans are bringing you to the College of Saint Benedict campus, we encourage you to take one of these alternative routes!

Option 1: From the West (e.g., heading East towards St. Joseph)

If you are coming from west of St. Joseph (e.g., from I-94 West or areas like Albany, Avon):

  1. Take I-94 East, going past the Collegeville, St. John’s exit
  2. Take exit 160 (left exit) to CR 75 East into St. Joseph
  3. Turn right on 2nd Ave NW (Kwik Trip is on the corner)
  4. Turn right at stop sign onto Minnesota Street
  5. Turn left into the College of Saint Benedict entrance
Option 2: From the East (e.g., heading West towards St. Joseph from St. Cloud)

If you are already in St. Cloud or approaching from the east (e.g., Sartell, Sauk Rapids):

  1. Follow Division Street through St. Cloud/Waite Park. This will become CR 75
  2. Continue west on CR 75 into St. Joseph
  3. Turn left at 2nd Ave NW (Kwik Trip on the corner)
  4. Turn right at stop sign onto Minnesota Street
  5. Turn left into the College of Saint Benedict entrance
Option 3: From the South (e.g., Minneapolis/St. Paul via I-94 W)

If you are coming from Minneapolis/St. Paul:

  1. Take I-94 West
  2. Take Exit 167 for MN-15 towards St. Cloud
  3. Continue North on MN 15 to Division Street (this will be the 2nd stoplight as you enter St. Cloud)
  4. Turn left onto Division Street and head West through St. Cloud/Waite Park. This will become CR 75
  5. Turn right on 2nd Ave NW (Kwik Trip is on the corner)
  6. Turn right at stop sign onto Minnesota Street
  7. Turn left into the College of Saint Benedict entrance

Always check local traffic updates and GPS for real-time conditions, as construction schedules and specific detour routes can change.
