College Activities:
  • Dance Team: One of the many reasons I chose to become a Bennie was because it gave me the opportunity to continue dancing and performing during my college career. Performing in front of nearly 20,000 fans in Clemens Stadium as a senior for Tommie Johnnie is one of my favorite memories from campus!
  • Study Abroad: Taking the plunge and choosing to spend a semester in London, England was one of the best decisions I ever made as a college student. This particular program offered an international internship component where I was matched with a non-profit organization that promotes positive mental health through music and art.
  • Theater: I took a theater make up class as a sophomore and was the lead for makeup, hair and wig design for the spring Musical “Urinetown”, my senior year. I had a blast working behind the scenes and getting to know the cast and crew.
  • Volunteer Work : I spent two years volunteering at the VA medical center in St. Cloud. What started as a requirement for experiential learning turned into a weekly activity that gave me the chance to connect with members of our community outside of CSB+SJU.
  • Teacher’s Assistant: I was a TA for my Academic Advisor as a senior for Research Methods. Connecting with other students and helping them achieve success was inspiring and allowed me to gain valuable experience.
Fun Facts:
  • Studying abroad definitely got me hooked on traveling! I have been to England, Wales, Turkey, Sweden, Poland, Norway, the Dominican Republic, Turks and Caicos, Puerto Rico, and St. Thomas and St. John’s of the US Virgin Islands.
  • After college, my study abroad roommate and I got matching tattoos of the geographical coordinates of our London flat!
  • I get together with my friends at least once a month for game night! We often play board games, cards, jackbox TV or poker.
Favorites:
  • Coffee, Cats and Crocs. If you ain’t crocin’, you ain’t rockin’.

Claire's Cat

My little fur ball, Sox, wandered into the front yard out in the country on Thanksgiving in 2018. She loves to cuddle, sleep, eat and chase bugs on the porch.
