David Zoeller

David Zoeller is a visiting assistant professor of accounting and finance. David is a graduate of Minnesota State University-Mankato where he received a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Economics and Accounting as well as a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.

David began his career as a CPA working in public accounting in the tax departments of several public accounting firms including McMahon, Hartmann, Amundson (later part of LarsonAllen, LLP).  While in public accounting, David specialized in tax issues related to individuals and businesses dealing with bankruptcy and financial distress. 

David joined the faculty of CSB/SJU in the Accounting Department in 1988 and taught courses in Introductory Accounting and Accounting Information Systems.  After receiving tenure in 1994, David left to join Attending Physician Statement Services (APSS) as its Chief Financial Officer.  Over the course of the following ten years, David became the President of APSS and joined a group of investors and purchased the company.  David participated in the negotiation and ultimate sale of the company to a publicly traded company.

David has also been a partner in a half dozen other companies including a computer hardware recycler, tool and die manufacturer, home construction lender, and the nation's leading manufacturer of digital  police in-car video systems.

David now enjoys putting his talents and experience to work in two departments: the Global Business Leadership department and the Accounting and Finance department. In accounting, Dave imparts his considerable knowledge in the areas of Introductory Accounting and Cost Accounting.
