CSB and SJU academic policies are listed in our Academic Catalog. Faculty need to familiarize themselves with the policies and ensure that their courses comply with all institutional policies. Academic policies may be revised or added over time, so it is good practice to review the academic policies prior to finalizing course syllabi each semester.

Policy on Syllabi

Please note that the Policy on Syllabi includes important information about when the syllabus should be available to students, the information that must be included on the syllabus, as well as policies that must be addressed (e.g., your Student Accessibility Services statement or your class attendance policy) or linked to on the syllabus (e.g., a link to the CSB and SJU Sexual Misconduct and Title IX policies). All course syllabi need to be submitted to the department chair or department coordinator so that we have accurate records of all syllabi (for example, past syllabi are needed for accreditation and to provide to former students upon request).
