Mem Services for CSB Trustee Mark Fleischhacker
Mark Fleischhacker, former executive vice president and chief engineering officer for Lake Region Medical and longtime trustee and supporter of the College of Saint Benedict (CSB), died in a car accident in July 2018. He was 66. Fleischhacker served on the Saint Ben’s Board of Trustees from 2003 through 2012, then again from 2013 until his passing. He was a member of the board’s Resource Development Committee, Trusteeship Committee and Executive Committee, and the college’s Campaign Steering Committee.
In addition to giving his time and leadership through the Board of Trustees, Mark and his wife, Teresa, were generous supporters of CSB, contributing to a number of capital projects and student scholarships.
He is survived by Teresa, their daughter Katherine “Kat” Herzig (Fleischhacker), a 2006 CSB graduate, son John Fleischhacker, a 2009 graduate of Saint John’s University, and Maria Fleischhacker.
According to CSB President Mary Dana Hinton, “Mark was deeply committed to the Saint Ben’s mission, an ethical and courageous leader, an engaged trustee and a genuinely good man.”
A memorial mass will be held at 5 p.m. on Sept. 20 in Sacred Heart Chapel. All are welcome to join the CSB Board of Trustees in remembering this ethical and courageous leader.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church of St. Therese in Fleischhacker’s name.
