Housing Selection

Housing Selection Overview

We hold Housing Selection during the Spring Semester. In this process, students select on-campus housing, and a limited number of students may select off-campus housing. Students are assigned a housing classification based on how many semesters they have lived in on-campus housing post-high school graduation:

  • Rising seniors (those who have lived in on-campus housing for at least 6 semesters) are classified as Returning- Senior Selection.
  • Rising juniors (those who have lived in on-campus housing for at least 4 semesters) are classified as Returning- Apartment Eligible.
  • Rising sophomores (those who have lived in on-campus housing for at least 2 semesters) are classified as Returning- Not Apartment Eligible.

We assign selection times for eligible participants according to housing classification; these times are randomly computer-assigned. Participants with earlier selection times may select housing before participants with later times.

Please be advised that failure to select desired or preferred housing during the housing selection process does not warrant a release from the residency requirement.
