2024-25 FAFSA is Available for Filing
The 2024-25 FAFSA is now available for filing at studentaid.gov. As was the case last year, families will report actual tax information on the FAFSA by transferring income and tax figures from their 2022 federal tax return. Note that families will be prompted during the FAFSA process for consent and approval for the Department of Education to use their information and match with IRS data. Consent is required for federal need-based aid eligibility.
Schools will not receive FAFSA information until sometime in mid-March. Once the FAFSA is completed, the student will receive their FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) via email from the Department of Education - this confirms the FAFSA was submitted.
All families have the opportunity to request a financial aid review based on special or unusual circumstances. Please see our Special Circumstance document under ‘Applying for Aid’ for more detail.
The CSB and SJU Financial Aid Office will maintain the June 1, 2024 priority deadline for returning students. Due to the FAFSA delay, aid notifications for returning students will be sent via CSB/SJU email accounts on a rolling basis closer to the first fall billing (July), rather than early June as in previous years.
