The Office of Academic Review and Curricular Advancement (OARCA) aims to provide collaborative leadership and guidance for the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University in the areas of student outcomes assessment, disciplinary program review, and institutional accreditation.
OARCA has four primary responsibilities:
- Provide support and guidance to CSB/SJU faculty and staff in the design, implementation, application, and reporting of academic assessment for all credit-bearing courses, internships, service learning projects, and undergraduate research programs
- Provide a limited advisory role to departments and programs undergoing program review
- Provide support and guidance to CSB/SJU as it prepares for re-accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission
- Collaborate about assessment, accountability, and the improvement of postsecondary teaching and learning with our higher education colleagues around the country and the globe
