Survey says our graduates are doing well

Graduates of the College of Saint Benedict (CSB) and Saint John's University (SJU) are finding success after college.  In a recently conducted survey by the Office of Career Services at CSB and SJU, 99-percent of the graduates from the CSB and SJU classes of 2011 report being employed full-time (71-percent), continuing their education (15-percent), engaged in full-time volunteer service (8-percent), in the military (2-percent) or working part-time (3-percent). 

Only one-percent of those responding to the survey said they remained unemployed and seeking work one year after graduation.  Nationally, the unemployment rate for college graduates under age 25 in April 2012 was 7.4-percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Roughly half of the respondents to the survey provided salary information with their answers.  For those employed full-time, the estimated average income was $36,765.  Additionally, 31-percent reported incomes greater than $45,000 and 35-percent reported incomes between $30,000 and $45,000.
