The Brain Injury Association of Minnesota is the only statewide nonprofit organization in Minnesota devoted solely to serving the needs of the estimated 100,000 Minnesotans who live with disability due to brain injury, their families and the professionals who work with them. Common Hope – St. Paul, MN
Common Hope is a nonprofit organization serving impoverished children and families living in the highlands of Guatemala. Godchild is a child sponsorship program where over 1,600 sponsored children and their families receive assistance in the areas of health care, education, housing, and other human development programs. Common Hope is looking for individuals who have a personal desire to serve those less advantaged, an interest in learning how a small nonprofit works "from the inside," and good written and oral communication skills. Common Hope’s needs for assistance are ever changing. Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) – Washington, D.C.
The CHCI is a non-profit and non-partisan educational organization offering educational and leadership development programs, services, and activities that promote the growth of its participants as effective professionals and strong leaders. The organization offers summer internships for 30 undergraduates from across the county. Interns spend two months in Washington, D.C. working for a member of congress and getting a “behind the scenes” look at how the U.S. government functions.
