Studio One

What is Studio One?

CSB/SJU's student-run literary magazine. Free copies are distributed on both campuses in April.

What types of writing do they publish?

We accept postmarked poetry, prose (1000 word limit) and art. You may send as many pieces as you wish: you do not need to be affiliated with CSB/SJU to enter your work.

What do Studio One members do?

Studio One accepts staff members from all majors to help select material for its annual publication. We meet once a week at CSB to judge submissions; meeting generally last about an hour. We ask that you read the assigned material before each meeting. Art judging takes place at the end of the year.

Why chose Studio One?

This is a great opportunity to gain editorial experience or share your creative work with the literary community. A staff position is an impressive resume builder for students interested in publishing, editing or writing careers; and publication in a literary magazine is an important first step for aspiring writers.
