"Sex, Money, and Power" with Erica Whittlinger

7:30 pm HCC, Alumnae Hall

Does gender determine your financial destiny?  Join us for a look at how men's and women's attitudes about money differ, and how this affects the decisions they make about saving, spending, and investments.  What can women learn from men about money?  And what do women do that men should, too?  Learn the only two things you need to do to guarantee financial success throughout your life.

Erica Whittlinger has been a member of the "Sound Money" team at Minnesota Public Radio for 18 years.  Each week she dispenses advice on the economy and investments and answers listener questions on the nationally-syndicated, award-winning show.  She learned to play "Monopoly" before she could read, studied economics and international relations at Beloit College, and received an MBA from Vanderbilt University.  In 1984 she co-founded Whittlinger Capital Management, a successful money management firm.  After 18 years at the helm, she sold her stock to her business partner when a health crisis made it apparent that she had a choice between changing her life or dying at her desk.  She then founded ReFirement®, Inc., with Jim Gambone, author of ReFirement: A Boomer's Guide To Life After 50.

ReFirement (www.refirement.com) provides workshops and presentations to refire the passions of the millions of aging Baby Boomers who want to revolutionize the traditional model of retirement.  Erica is co-author of The ReFirement® Workbook.

Because Life isn’t a game.
