In Touch Mentoring Program

What is it?

In Touch is a program connects an Upper Class Bennie with a First Year Bennie.  The Upper Class Bennie acts like a mentor to the First Year, answering questions about anything from academics to college life in general.

Why should I become involved?

Upper Class Bennie: This is a great opportunity to aid a First Year student who is just beginning her journey.  The expertise and knowledge that you have gained at CSB can benefit a fellow Bennie while offering a rewarding experience for you, too.

First Year Bennie: Often, the transition from high school to college can be scary, overwhelming, challenging and FUN.  We know this because we were in your shoes not so long ago.  In Touch wants to help you connect with the CSB community while providing a place and person for you share your challenges and excitements with.

What does it include?

As a volunteer mentor, we will ask that you attend two events per month with your mentee.  One of the programs will be a Center for Women program and the other will be of your choosing.  At the end of the month, we will ask that you fill out a quick evaluation form, so the staff at the Center for Women can evaluate In Touch's progress.
