Programs for the Theological Exploration of Vocation are designed to foster leadership in church and society in an institution-wide project integrating curricular, co-curricular and community life experiences among students, faculty and staff of the College of St. Benedict and Saint John's University. The purpose of the programs is to create and sustain an environment which offers all members of our communities opportunities for reflection on their call and response to meaningful life work in service of church and society.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greetings from the office of the Vocation Project!
The Vocation Project at St. John's University has supported a variety of programs on behalf of theological reflection on vocation over the past five years. Its current focus will continue its work on behalf of the Catholic/Benedictine mission of the CSB/SJU community. The program will continue to support the following activities for students: Men's Spirituality Groups, the Liturgical Life ministry, Ministry Formation for Theology majors and minors, CORAD (an online mentoring program), and one-to-one spiritual companioning. We also offer a number of reading groups and book conversations.
During the next year, the Vocation Project will be exploring possibilities of some form of an office of mission for our community. As we move toward a position of greater stability and permanence within these institutions, I would appreciate any comments or ideas that you have to offer.
We hope you take advantage of our offerings! There is much we can learn from each other.
Grace & Peace -
