Joseph (Joe) Hoesley, '77, is a former Vice Chairman and member of the Managing Committee of US Bank, the nation's fifth largest commercial bank. Hoesley spent 23 years (1992-2015) with US Bank and was in charge of building the bank's commercial real estate group into a national business with customers throughout the U.S. and Canada. This business includes 26 offices nationwide, loan commitment of $40 billion, deposits of $8.5 billion, two joint venture lending partnerships, a Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) business, and a partnership with an investment bank to distribute clients' equity offerings.
He is a former Trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers (2004-2012), former Board Member of Catholic Charities of Minneapolis/St. Paul (2005-2010), former member of the Board of Advisors James J. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is a current Board Member of "Friends of Ascension" which supports Ascension School in North Minneapolis. Hoesley received an M.B.A. Finance Degree from DePaul University (1981) and a B.A. in Government from Saint John's University (1977). He and his wife, Shelly, have three children and reside in Wayzata.
