How do you plan to use your Theology Degree when you graduate?
I plan to go on to Saint John’s School of Theology for my Masters Degree. My long-term goal is to teach or work in parishes, to work with adult retreats and possibly write some day.
What has been the highlight of your experiences with the CSB/SJU Theology Department?
I was able to participate in a May Term Program through the School of Theology that took us to Turkey and Greece. While there, we were able to study the early Christian world and retrace the footsteps of Paul. This experience inspired me to work on my senior thesis project which will be a fictional account of a Christian Woman’s travels through a Muslim country.
What message do you have for future students at CSB/SJU?
Take advantage of all the opportunities available in the Theology Program. Things like research projects, May Terms, The Ministry Formation Program—they all afford you the chance to really develop a sense of identify and to make wonderful friends. I feel so close to all my classmates.
Are you involved in any other activities at CSB/SJU?
I work for Residential Life at CSB as an Apartment Community Advisor. I also volunteer as a tour guide for the Admission’s Department and read at the Sunday student mass. And I lead confirmation retreats for Shine Ministry on campus.
