Hi, my name is Brian White, and I am currently the Technical Director for the Theater Department and Fine Arts Programming here at the College of Saint Benedict. I am currently in my third year with the college, and I am adjusting quite well (I think so) to the Midwest.  Throughout the day I can be found  supervising students building and running the theater productions and events held at the Benedicta Arts Center, mentoring students in the technical pursuits and maintaining the theater and production areas of the Benedicta Arts Center.  In the fall of 2003 I  came to the college from my favorite little state Rhode Island, where I worked as a freelance technician, and had started my own theater company. 

I graduated from Rhode Island College in Providence, RI where I worked as a student technician and later as the Assistant to the Operations Director  for Russel Monaghan.  While in the Northeast I also worked for area production companies such as Advanced Lighting and Production Services ALPS, ATR-Treehouse and Action Lighting.   I also worked my fair share of summers in Summer Stock at , The Hackmatack Playhouse in Maine, Theater By The Sea in RI, and several other smaller companies.  I was extremely involved with the Rhode Island Theater Education Association (Secondary education theater festival) as the Technical Director from 1996 through 2002. During my tenure with RITEA I worked as a consultant to many of the areas public and private high schools.
