Job Description

Goals

  1. To grow in pastoral ministry and leadership skills.
  2. To be a role model (mentor) to high school leadership youth exploring theology, service/justice, and prayer at YTM.
  3. To provide supervision to high school youth attending YTM.
  4. To have fun and build enthusiasm for theological study and youth ministry.

Qualifications

  1. Theology major or minor with an interest in youth ministry or pastoral ministry or a student worker with leadership development.
  2. Student at St. John's or St. Ben's
  3. Leadership experience
  4. Enjoys high school youth yet can enforce rules
  5. Completed criminal background check

Responsibilities

  1. Sharing your faith and your love of God and theology with high school leadership youth.
  2. Team supervision for fifty youth and specific supervision for eight youth.
  3. Small group facilitation.
  4. Engage youth in free time experiences.
  5. Supervision of youth during sleep time.
  6. Input on planning YTM Summer Institute
  7. Developing and leading YTM Activities

Dates:  June 8-21, 2008

Location: Saint John’s University

Stipend: $1,000
