Discover your deep gladness. Discover YTM.
What is YTM?
YTM is a 2-week Summer Institute that promotes leadership, discernment, and faith formation. Youth typically come for two summers, work on a parish/community-based service or social justice project during the school year, and join us for an overnight retreat in January. We call our youth Summer I’s and Summer II’s.
What does a typical day at YTM look like?
9:00 a.m. - Prayer and Theological Presentation on Daily Theme
9:45 a.m. - Theology Courses
11:30 a.m. - Lunch
1:00 p.m. - Service-Leadership Project (service to immigrants, the elderly, and children)
5:00 p.m. - Supper, Free Time: Swimming, Volleyball, Tennis, Canoeing, etc. (Mass with the monastic communities at Saint John's and Saint Benedict's one day each week)

How do I know if YTM is for me?
YTM is open to high school youth who have completed 9th grade by the start of their first Summer Institute.
- Do you want to explore your Catholic faith with the support of a beloved community?
- Are you active in your parish community, or in school extracurricular activities?
- Are you looking for ways to get more involved in the life of your parish?
If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, then YTM might be for you!
During the Closing Session of the 2016 YTM Summer Institute, Caitlyn (a Summer II youth) gave us all a challenge to treat every moment as an opportunity to offer our lives as a prayer. View her testimony below:
