Fr. Michael Patella, OSB will serve as interim director of the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library for one year, beginning July 1, 2009.
Fr. Robert Koopmann, OSB, an alumnus of Saint John's School of Theology·Seminary (M.Div. '81), has been named the 12th president of Saint John's University.
The National Association for Lay Ministry presented its Gaudium et Spes Award to the monks of Saint John's Abbey at their annual conference on Friday, May 29th. According to the official press release, the monks were honored for their various efforts, including their work through Saint John's Abbey, Saint John's School of Theology·Seminary, the Liturgical Press, and their sponsorship of the 2007 National Symposium on Lay Ecclesial Ministry.
Professor Miguel Díaz, who teaches at the School of Theology·Seminary, the College of Saint Benedict, and Saint John's University, has been nominated to serve as the United States ambassador to the Holy See (Vatican).

"Praying with Imagination: A Retreat with The Saint John’s Bible” is a retreat that offers participants the opportunity to integrate creativity and prayer through the practice of visio divina.
