"Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body." Eph 4:25
While we may think truth-telling in a community context is primarily a tool for confrontation, St. Paul reminds us that truth-telling is essential to the body of Christ. It assumes a personal commitment to honesty in speech and action, while keeping the good of the whole community in mind when difficult decisions need to be made or difficult situations addressed. This seminar will explore many facets of truth-telling in scripture and modern life with a specific focus on the best practices that lead to a healthy, strong and vibrant parish community. As a result of this opportunity for input, reflection, and discussion, participants will gain insight into how truth telling is a discipline of joyful witness.
