Sociology Major

The sociology department offers a major in sociology and a concentration in family studies.

The following requirements apply to all students who entered CSB/SJU in the Fall of 2005 or later.

Required Courses (40 credits):

111, 201, 204, 302, 367, 396 and 16 additional credits in sociology.

Concentration in Family Studies

Required Courses (48 credits):

1. 111, 201, 204, 302, 329, 367, 396
2. Choose three from: 229, 250, 330, 351, 355
3. Choose one from: PSYC 360 or HIST 362
4. One additional Sociology elective
