Job Summary:    Operation Rice Bowl is Catholic Relief Services' Lenten program that generates more than $8 million to assist the poor, and involves more than 8 million Catholics in 14,000 parishes and schools across the U.S. in prayer and action to support CRS' work overseas. Food Fast is Catholic Relief Services' hunger awareness program for youth that teaches youth about issues faced by their peers in the developing world; encourages them to take action on behalf of the poor and hungry; and calls youth to share their perspectives and knowledge about our world with their community to create lasting change in our world. The Program Coordinator facilitates the content and materials development process for resources and mailings in cooperation with other Domestic Programs team members and CRS' Graphic Services Department. The Program Coordinator coordinates the day to day contact with the fulfillment house vendor, oversees Operation Rice Bowl and Food Fast ordering processes, and suggests and monitors methods to improve the efficiency, participation, and effectiveness of the order process at the diocesan and parish levels. The Program Coordinator also tracks revenue and budget expenses for the programs. Finally, the Program Coordinator will assist in the preparation of an annual report to analyze the programs' operations.

Job Responsibilities: Materials Development
' Facilitates Operation Rice Bowl and Food Fast materials development process including researching, writing, and editing materials in conjunction with the ORB/FF team.
' Coordinates development of Spanish language materials with Spanish Translator.
' Acts as primary contact with Graphic Services (and Purchasing Dept. on some occasions) for developing ORB materials/mailings each year, including developing production schedule, determining quantities, and meeting with designer and vendors and reviewing specifications and bids.
' Facilitates wrap-up meeting with Operation Rice Bowl staff and Graphic Services Department for review of previous year's mailings/materials development process for ORB.
' Works with Program Officer I on ORB and Food Fast sections of CRS website.

Fulfillment
' Coordinates day to day relationship with fulfillment house vendor.
' Develops and modifies reports with fulfillment house to ensure effective and accurate analysis. ' Researches the potential use of other services listed in the contract in order to analyze and identify cost-effective ways and waste reduction of the order process.
' Develops analysis with Program Officer I regarding the ORB and Food Fast programs each year which includes final order totals, order processing, response types, order placements, materials used, shipping costs, printing costs and other important information regarding the ordering process for Operation Rice Bowl and Food Fast.
' Researches fulfillment vendors, creates specifications and works with Program Officer II to secure new fulfillment contract when contract expires.

Budget and Revenue
' Track ORB and Food Fast unit expenses as required. Resolve differences with Finance Department.
' Work with CRSU Communications Coordinator to develop and maintain reports relevant to diocesan revenue. Report monthly on all ORB revenue.
' Work with ORB team and CRS Regional Offices to obtain revenue estimates from Diocesan Directors for ORB.
' Develop ORB receivables report and maintain contact with Finance regarding ORB receipts from dioceses.

Analysis
' Develop, with input from the Program Officer I, the final analysis and evaluation of overall ORB and Food Fast programs each cycle including overall cost analysis to consistently improve spending. Constituency Support
' Acts as CRS contact by providing participation and materials order reports for ORB program to CRS' Diocesan Directors and ORB Coordinators. Provides relevant reports on Food Fast to CRS' Diocesan Directors
' Provides Food Fast promotion materials to DDs each September.
' Provides ORB promotion materials to DDs and ORB Coordinators each December.
' Writes bi-monthly ORB Newsletter for DDs and ORB Coordinators. Writes updates on Food Fast for bi-monthly US Operations Partner mailer.

Personal Skills:

Qualifications:
1. Bachelors Degree.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR

POSITION OBJECTIVE
This is an independent contracted position and will support the work of the organization through the direction of the Board of Directors of the Multicultural Center of Central Minnesota (MCCM).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 
These responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the tasks listed.

1. Coordinate outreach activities, training and program efforts through promotion, advertising, site arrangements, etc.
2. Research and prepare grant applications on behalf of the organization.
3. Establish and maintain effective relationships with the Board of Directors and  the general public.
4. Networking with other appropriate organizations as directed by the Board of  Directors
5. Coordinate and oversee the upgrading and maintenance of the website.
6. Attend to general office responsibilities, i.e. email, phone, US mail as  appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.   Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred. 
2.   Must have reliable means of transportation.  Valid Driver’s License preferred. 
3.   Knowledge of and experience working with diverse communities.
4.   Ability to travel in the Central Minnesota area.
5.   Ability to make independent and critical decisions while working  autonomously.

COORDINATE MEDIA CAMPAIGN - 25%

·  Develop a proactive media campaign

·  Update and maintain a database of Spanish- and English-language media outlets and reporters

·  Pitch stories to mainstream and alternative, national and international, English and Spanish media

What is EastHaven?
EastHaven is a privately run, supportive chemical dependency treatment program. EastHaven serves the need of 24 adult males, who have completed primary CD Treatment and/or are attending outpatient treatment. EastHaven is a place that "supplies shelter from the storm" of chemical addictions by providing support in making a transition to a sober, independent lifestyle.

Building Make-up
EastHaven is a twelve unit apartment complex serving 24 residents. Each apartment consists of a sizeable living room, a fully equipped kitchen, two large bedrooms and a full bath. Three residents share an apartment, with two residents sharing a double room. The remaining units include a staff office area, therapeutic recreation area, group therapy room and housing for paraprofessional(s) who provide coverage 24 hours a day.

Program Information
EastHaven presents twenty-four hour structure, support and guidance to residents. Residents are required to attend at least five hours of programming through in-house groups, meetings & individual counseling sessions. Morning & evening groups are available to accommodate the residents’ varying schedules. The content of the therapy is directed towards the importance of aftercare issues such as relapse prevention, coping skills, independent livings skills and educational groups to help make a successful transition to self sufficient independent living. Residents are provided with ample time to pursue individual treatment plan goals, which often entail educational opportunities, volunteer work and/or obtaining employment. EastHaven personnel will assist residents' in job seeking, resume building and other professional skills to secure a job or schooling endeavor. Residents are given random drug and alcohol testing.

JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: PARAPROFESSIONAL

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be 18 years of age and free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding their hiring. It is also understood that the Paraprofessional remain free of chemical use problems as a condition of employment.
2. Knowledge of client rights outlined in part 4747.1500, and of staff responsibilities.
3. Must know and understand the implications of parts 9530.6405 to 9530.6505, 9543.1000 to 9543.1060, and MN Statutes, chapter 245A, and sections 626.556, 626.557, and 626.5572 when designated as the responsible person for delivery of treatment services.
4. Graduation or work toward a four year degree in social work, behavioral sciences, or related human services field.
5. Relevant experience working with chemically dependant persons. Individual and group experience necessary.

CURRENT DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES:

1. Be present and available to respond to client questions, concerns, issues, confrontations, etc.
2. Maintain contact with referring treatment programs and potential clients’ social workers. 
3. Complete requests for information about residents as needed e.g. social security, counties of residence, probation officers and so forth.
4. Notify counties of residence if client leaves program early due to his own volition or due to an early termination due to behavioral problems.
5. Answer and respond to all phone calls when on duty.
6. Respond to residents’ questions and concerns on an as needed basis.
7. Meet with staff weekly to discuss clients and participate in all in-service programs.
8. Dispense food money to residents weekly.
9. Observe clients taking medications and assign points when necessary.
10. Complete shift transfers at each shift, including writing in staff log.
11. Complete intake process with all new clients.
12. Develop and monitor annual program goals and carry out the same.
13. Maintain a positive living atmosphere for clients.
14. Monitor resident whereabouts at all times, including signing them in and out of the building.
15. Assist clients in carrying out their treatment goals i.e.: finding jobs, housing, referrals for future treatment needs, etc…
16. Administer breathalyzer and urinalysis to residents both randomly and as needed.
17. General housekeeping duties as assigned to maintain office area.
