Why Saint John's University?

Located on 2,400 acres of woodlands and lakes in central Minnesota, Saint John’s University is the ideal setting for groups both large and small.
Saint John's physical setting lends a quiet beauty to campus. The buildings reflect its rich 150 year history and a 1,500 year Benedictine heritage. Wildlife is plentiful.Birds, deer and other animals make their home in the woods surrounding the campus, which is a state game refuge. It is a peaceful environment, conducive to reflection and simple appreciation.
We are located just 70 minutes northwest of Minneapolis and St. Paul and 15 minutes west of St. Cloud on Interstate 94. Saint John’s University is a Catholic Benedictine-sponsored educational institutional founded by the monks of Saint John’s Abbey.
In keeping with the Saint John's mission, activities held on campus generally are of an educational or informational nature and include artistic and cultural programs. Services and facilities found at Saint John's complement those found at the College of Saint Benedict (its academic partner), in St. Cloud and throughout the Central Minnesota area.
Summer Conferences and Events
- We schedule more than 150 overnight camps, conferences and events during the summer.
- We offer a variety of flexbile meeting spaces including large rooms for full group meetings or keynote speakers, small rooms for breakout sessions and fields and lawns for sports camps, team building exercises and outdoor picnics and banquets.
- We provide meal service for 10 to 1,000. From a working bag lunch or outdoor picnic to a themed reception or an elegant dinner in the Great Hall, your guests will have a wonderful dining experience.
- With more than 900 guest rooms on campus, we have the capability to host your summer conference or event group in residence hall rooms with fantastic views of the surrounding wilderness and excellent accomodations Whatever your needs are, we are here to serve you.
During the academic year, Saint John’s University can host one-day conferences and meetings.
