About Our Unique Buildings

The Quadrangle

The Quadrangle was the first building constructed by the immigrant monks who built Saint John's during the nineteenth century. With its hand-made bricks, the Quadrangle rises four floors over the surrounding lakes and wilderness. When it was finished in 1881 it was the largest educational building west of the Mississippi

Once the main church at Saint John's, the Great Hall's impressive architecture offers a unique atmosphere for dinners and other social gatherings.

The Alumni Lounge and the Centenary Room can accommodate more than 100 people each and are recommended for meetings, speakers and social gatherings.  Several other rooms can be set up for small meetings or dinners.

Sexton Commons

Completed in 1993, Sexton Commons is one of the newer buildings on campus. It offers an outstanding site for a variety of events. Meeting space is available in a variety of settings, from board-room style seating to conference-block accommodations. The Sexton Commons Dining Room>, Willie's Pub and the Fireside Lounge are all excellent gathering places for dinners, socials, dances and other events.
