New cable TV channels installed at Saint John's

4/9/2007 - The SJS announced today that eight new cable TV channels have been installed on the campus network at Saint John's University. The new channels include FX, Spike, NFL Network, Game Show Network, Discovery Health, ABC Family, ESPN-U, and Nickelodeon.

The new channels, announced by the SJS on March 19, 2007, were added after the SJS conducted a survey on current students' preferences for cable TV entertainment. The channels were installed by SJU Media Services over Easter recess.

Students can view the updated listing below, or at http://www.csbsju.edu/cabletv/. The SJS reminds students to run an auto-program to reconfigure their channel guides, as the new existing channels have been assigned new numbers. On some sets, the new channels will not function properly until the auto-program has been run. The SJS hopes students enjoy the new channels.

The SJS is proud to enact change on campus that reflects the views of students. The SJS thanks students for their input. All students are encouraged to vote in the General Election on April 13, 2007.
