Goals Completed Fall 2007

SJS reaches fall 2007 semester goals

The Saint John’s Senate is pleased to announce the completion of a number of SJS goals during the fall semester:

• Purchased new high-definition projector and DJ equipment in Brother Willie’s Pub
• Purchased two new heaters in the Flynntown bus stop
• Welcomed all first-year students with free SJU Fight Song T-shirts
• Proposed to administrators a resolution supporting semester-end evaluations for all professors
• Purchased ice and in-line skates for free student rental at the OLC
• Proposed to grounds department a resolution to increase outdoor recycling containers on campus
• Initiated the publishing of nutrition facts in Sexton Dining (posted left of the cashier)
• Sponsored fourth annual “Johnnies”
• Hosted a community BBQ with 1,500 people attended
• Sponsored charity poker tournament benefiting the St. Joseph Food Shelf
• Opened the TV lounge in Tommy basement that includes an Xbox 360
• Re-established daily office hours from 3-5 p.m. in Sexton 126
• Sponsored the Books for Africa program
• Conducted a task force to identify areas of strength and growth for the two senates’ work together
