Boards & Committees

BOARDS
Activities and Allocations Board (AAB)
The AAB manages and allocates the Student Activity Fee ($180) collected from each SJU student. In addition to providing evening and weekend Link bussing, campus Cable TV channels, and capital improvements at SJU, the main function of the AAB is to allocate funds to student clubs and organizations. Together with members of the CSB Senate, the AAB forms the Co-Funding Board (CFB), which allocates money to joint clubs. For more information, contact the AAB Chair.

Judicial Board (JB)
The JB works to enhance policies at senate and institutional levels. JB members focus on constitutional documents, student body elections, academic policies, residential life issues, and other campus policies and procedures. For more information, contact the JB Chair.

Student Services Board (SSB)
The SSB functions to impact student life through communications and programming oversight. These senators focus on enhancing relations with the Joint Events Council, Cultural Affairs Board, Men's Center, Student Activities Office, and Senate Advisory Panel, as well as processing concerns and input from students. COMMITTEES
Joint Academic Board (JAB)
JAB functions to relate student concerns about academic policies to the Joint Faculty Assembly. JAB is comprised of CSB and SJU students selected by the JAB Representative (JB) and his CSB Senate counterpart.

Student Parking Appeals Board (SPAB)
SPAB process all SJU parking ticket appeals received by Life Safety Services Parking Bureau. JB members comprise SPAC.

Food Committee
The Food Committee works to improve student meal options at Sexton Dining and the Refectory. The Food Committee is comprised of students selected yearly by the Men's Issues Representative (SSB).

Campus Policies and Procedures Committee (CPP)
CPP meets to propose revisions to the J-Book (SJU's Code of Conduct), residential life policies, and building policies. CPP is comprised of students selected yearly by the CPP Representative (JB).

Senate Advisory Panel (SAP)
SAP relates the concerns, suggestions, and grievances of the student body to the SJS. SAP is comprised of students selected yearly by the SSB Chair.

Public Relations Committee (PR)
The PR Committee designs and implements the SJS's communications and marketing campaigns, and collaborates with the CSB Senate's respective committee on joint projects. The PR Committee is comprised of senators selected by the Public Relations Representative.
