The students of the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University are committed to serving the needs of others. VISTO (Volunteers In Service To Others) provides a link between the students and the surrounding communities. By offering 14 programs, there is an abundance of diversity to meet many personal interests.
Our goal, which coincides with that of a liberal arts education, is to provide students with opportunities to:
Through volunteering, we strive to deepen our self-understanding through reflection and self-evaluation. By participating in VISTO, we strengthen one another’s self-confidence and sense of achievement through recognition and celebration.
The Campus Ministry offices of CSB/SJU provide support and guidance through an advisor to oversee the program. Since we are a strictly non-profit volunteer organization, we do not accept remuneration for the services we provide.
At the center of the program are the students themselves. They demonstrate dedication and commitment, devoting both time and energy to share something of themselves with others.
