The Benedictine Action Team (B.A.T.) is a part of Campus Ministry which strives to bring about systemic change in the world.  The goal of B.A.T. is to bring about the awareness of social injustices in our world, to the student population.  By doing this, we are educating the generation who will become our future leaders.  
     At Saint John's University, B.A.T. is informally known as "The Bat Cave."  Our job is to work to bring about peace through the use of Benedictine Values and Catholic Social Teaching.  We are strongly committed to the search for God through and with our community.  B.A.T. coordinates service/aid trips to local, domestic, and international places where people are in need.  The Benedictine Action Team offers a multitude of progressive volunteer projects for the CSB/SJU student body. B.A.T. is constantly developing unique programs which attract the busy and constantly changing student population.   We are known for our great enthusiasm and passion for what we do.
