At SJU Campus Ministry, we are committed to forming Christians with an adult knowledge of their faith who are ready to witness to Christ in the world. Our goal in faith formation is well summarized by the US Bishops: “Campus ministry has the task of enabling Catholics to achieve a more adult appropriation of their faith so that they can live in greater communion with God and the Church, give more effective witness to the Gospel, and face the challenges to belief that exist in the academic world” (#45, Empowered by the Spirit).
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the Catholic Church’s way of welcoming unbaptized adults into the faith of the Church. Here at Saint John’s, we use the RCIA program for four distinct groups. Read more
SJU campus ministry along with the CSB campus ministry offers many opportunities for retreats. The program offers retreats for the busy person, one day or several day retreats for first year students and upper class students. Read more
