Electrical Metering

Electrical meters were installed on all campus buildings over the summer of 2009. While the meters themselves will not reduce energy use, they do allow anyone with a internet access to view real time electrical use per building and to review energy consumption over the past months.

The meters will serve as a tool for the Physical Plant to evaluate system efficiencies in order to identify buildings which are “energy hogs” and what building improvements might have the biggest impact on our overall energy use. The metering data will also be a useful tool for education programs such as the Energy Challenge and was heavily utilized during the 2010-2011 academic year which had been designated as Sustainability Year by the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University.

To view the metering data, please use the link below. At this time, the metering data is only viewable with Internet Explorer.
