Theology on Tap

Have a burning question about the faith? Ever wonder the Church's position on hot-topic or controversial issues? Then check out Theology on Tap.

TOT is an event held several times per semester at 8:45 p.m. in Br. Willie's Pub, where students can gather to hear a faculty, student, or qualified professional speak on a variety of real-world topics related to theology.

This is one of our most beloved, well attended events throughout the year, so don't miss out!

Tuesday, March 14th:

Title:  To be Christ’s Witness to all the World
“The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will, to see the Righteous One and to hear his own voice;  15 for you will be his witness to all the world of what you have seen and heard” (Act 22:14-15).

Description:  What does it mean to be Christ’s witness on the campuses of CSB/SJU?  Do I have to choose my friends carefully, belong to certain clubs, listen to particular music, or is it something else?  Fr. Michael Patella, professor of theology, will search the biblical roots of Christian witness and then look at some of the ways ordinary people have followed through and witnessed to Christ.  Is there an example for us to follow?

Assignment: For this Theology on Tap, students should be prepared to answer: What did you think of Lady Gaga’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl?
