The Liemandt Family Service-Learning Program models Benedictine values by providing education and support to CSB/SJU faculty and students, co-curricular programs, and the community through service experiences in order to strengthen communities, integrate theory and praxis, and foster active citizenship.
"Service-learning occupies an important and privileged place in our curriculum. Through it, the human dimension of deep and significant academic study comes into sharper focus. Service-Learning is, at one and the same time, a powerful expansion of the boundaries of the campuses and a tending of some of our most important core educational values."
