Appreciation Carnival 2004

Each year, the Student Employment Leadership Team sponsors an Appreciation Carnival for student employees and their supervisors.  Attended by over 450 students, this year's Carnival was held Thursday, April 15, 2004 from 3:00-5:30PM in the Alumnae Hall (Haehn Campus Center), College of St. Benedict.  The event coincided with National Student Employee Appreciation Week (April 11-17, 2004), one of the highlights of the year for student employment.

We were fortunate this year to receive many and varied prize donations as well as quite memorable entertainment! A unicyclist wowed students and staff as he dodged a mini obstacle course, torches ablaze. Jugglers played with fire--literally. Clowns spread contagious cheer beyond the walls of the room...and the event was a runaway success.  Prizes, popcorn, face painting, the picture booth, music, and our famous games (hosted by 15 departments) were part of a great time had by everyone.

The pictures tell it all!

You can never have too much fun at the clown picture booth!

Well, perhaps you can!

The carnival had a great turnout of over 450 students and many supervisors.

T. Todd Masman and Cindy Dirkes want some of Bob Filipczak's popcorn! Luckily, he shared with everyone.

Students wait to hear their names for the prize drawing.

A fearless juggler tempts fate (and forever widens the limits of awe).
