Article II: Membership
Section 1: Eligibility for Membership
All CSB/SJU students of all running abilities.
Section 2: Voting Member Criteria
A student can become an official member of CSB/SJU Running club by attending a certain number of practices and races. All of the members will have a say in what races we as a clubwould participate in.
Section 3: Removal of Members
The removal of members from the club will be considered to the club as a whole. The personmay state the reason they think they should maintain a membership with the club. Then the current members will vote if the person should stay or not. Then the President and Vice President will make the final decision.
Article III: Officers
Section 1: Officer Qualifications The qualifications to be eligible to be an officer is that they are active in the club. They show upto weekly runs and are determined to encourage runners. They have to be in the club for at least a year.
Section 2: Elected Officers President Vice-President Secretary Treasure
Section 3: Duties of OfficersPresident: preside at meetings, call special meetings, primary contact with the institutions,appoint committee chairs. Schedule weekly runs and schedule races throughout the year Vice-President: Assume President's duties in his/her absence, schedule meeting/practice rooms/facilities, primary contact with the JCB, plans member/officer training programs Plan the trips and map out each run.Secretary: takes and distributes minutes of all club meetings, recorder keeper (current and pastmembers, files minutes, etc), club historian, notify members of meetings, handles the officialcorrespondence of the club, other Treasurer: keeps all financial records, submits monthly audit statements to CFB contact (this is amandatory requirement if you receive CFB funds), notifies organization of financial issues,prepares budget/allocation requests,Term of office with be for the whole academic year. April of second semester is when we wouldelect new officials.
Section 4: Vacancy in Office
In the event a vacancy should occur (resignation or removal), provisions must be made to fill thevacancy. Officer succession/"chain of command" should be addressed (e.g., in the event that the President leaves office, the Vice President will assume those duties until a special election isheld. Then refer readers to the special election section of officers
Section 5: Removal of Officers
A petition to remove the officer in question must be submitted to another officer. This petitionmust contain the signatures of 75% of voting members. When such petition is received, theofficer shall call a meeting of the club to determine whether or not the officer should beremoved.
Section 6: Appeal of Removal of Officers
The officer will have to present to the club on why he/she thinks they should maintain theposition of an officer.
Article IV: Elections
Section 1: Nomination Process
A candidates can be nominated by an officer or have self nomination. The nominations will takeplace in April for the following academic year.Section 2: ElectionThere will be a ballot for each member that is nominated. A person can serve multiple academicyears voted in. The electrons will be held in April.Section 3: Special ElectionsIf an officer leaves/ is removed, than the vice president will move up and then there will be anelectron for a new treasure.
Article V: Advisor Selection

We will chose that is interested in getting involved with running and promoting a friendly atmosphere.
Section 2: Duties
We would like our advisor to encourage us to participate in races and encourage us to spend theword about CSB/SJU running club.
Article VI: Meetings
Section 1: Regular Meeting/Club Activities
Weekly runs and a meetings every other week to discuss the upcoming events and runs. We will notify via email and Facebook to the members.
Section 2: Special Meetings
Special meeting will be held the week prior to a race. They will be ran the same as regularmeetings.
Section 3: Parliamentary Authority
We will discuss the up coming activities and address runs. Then we will have comments andinput from the members.Section 4: Quorum*2/3of our club must be present at voting meetings.
Article VII: Committees
Section 1: Committee Structure
Committees involve travel and setting up a variety of runs.
Section 2: Special/Ad-Hoc Committees Travel committee.
Article VIII: Finances
Section 1: Co-Funding BoardYes our club will apply for CFB.
Section 2: HonorariumsNo member would receive a honorarium.
Section 3: Dues (optional)The members are responsible for the dues that are not funded by the cab senate.
Article IX: Amendments
Section 1: Ratification Identify the process to be used regarding proposed constitutional amendments: voting procedures, timeline, etc.
Section 2: Submittal to Department of Student Activities and Joint Club Board. Any changes made to this constitution must be submitted to the Department of Student Activitiesand the JCB.
