With Drama Club, we hope to provide an environment for people having all levels of interest in theatre to express themselves and grow, both as artists and people. Enactus

Enactus will provide the students of CSB/SJU the best opportunity to develop leadership teamwork, and communication skills through learning, practicing, and teaching the principals of entrepreneurship. Enactus primarily operates multiple business ventures, either for profit or non-profit. These ventures will be consistent with our mission and directed towards both Enactus at CSB/SJU and the communities in which we live. We recognize the importance of entrepreneurship in our lives and work toward developing the skills and abilities of our members and our community to better practice it. The scope of our activities can only be defined by the students' own imaginations--using their ingenuity and effort to support our community, promote the welfare of business and enterprise, and searching for personal growth and valuable life skills while working towards the Enactus mission. The club intends to do this while remaining consistent with Saint John's and Saint Ben's institutional mission and policies.

We are an affiliate with the national Enactus organization. However, the guidelines set by this constitution and the institutional mission and policies take precedence over any national rules or commitments.

E-Sports League

The E-Sports League aims to create an on campus community where our club members can compete in virtual Strategy games with and against each other. These games will not promote violence on the CSB/SJU campus. Our club is a student organization that will routinely compete in tournaments or games and potentially with students from other colleges or universities. Our club will try to educate people on the benefit of E-sport as well as advising them on how to play games as a healthy way of relax, stress-reliever and fun time with friends rather than an addiction.

Fides et Ratio

The purpose of Fides et Ratio is to foster an understanding for and put into practice all aspects of the Roman Catholic Faith. It shall be distinctively Catholic in service, worship, and faith. To be distinctively catholic in service, worship, and faith, members of Fides et Ratio shall work toward:

  • Developing community through service and fellowship (i.e. work and play).
  • Growing spiritually through understanding and participating in the Roman Catholic Mass and sacraments, and other forms of Catholic worship. These shall include, but not be limited to, Eucharistic Adoration, the veneration of the Saints and Mary, and other Catholic prayers.
  • Understanding the teachings of the Roman Catholic Faith through study, prayer, and reflection, always maintaining a close fidelity to the teachings of the Pope and Magisterium.

Global Health Affairs

The purpose of Global Health Affairs is to increase the awareness of CSB/SJU students on global health issues. A major component of this club will raise awareness about the mission of the international organization, Global Brigades and the needs of community members in Central America and Ghana.  Moreover, issues such as AIDS, multistrain tuberculosis, mental health, and  maternal-child health will be addressed in the greater context of the world. This differs from similar entities on campus in that we will focus on a broad and comprehensive overview of all health-related issues. Students will have the opportunity to educate themselves on contemporary issues, which will prepare them as they apply to graduate school, volunteer after graduation, and enter the workplace.

Sexual Assault Prevention Club

The purpose of this club is to lower the number of sexual assaults and sexual violence that occur on and off campus at CSBSJU. We plan on implementing interactional and educational meetings and events into each semester to engage students in learning more about the effects of sexual assault, steps and procedures to follow if you are a victim of sexual assault, and what you can do to prevent sexual assault on and off campus. Student Solution Pre-Engineering club's mission is:

  • To provide the students of CSB/SJU an opportunity to further explore future schooling and/or career opportunities in any area of engineering (Specifically in the areas of chemistry, physics,biology, and computer science.).
  • To provide useful information to students who are looking for internships and jobs in the field of engineering.

Studio One

The purpose of Studio One is to publish a literary journal each year. A group of students get together each week to evaluate poetry, prose, and art submissions to be included in the journal. Once all pieces are selected we work together using InDesign to create the journal. The club is meant to bring together those interested in reading, writing, art, and publishing. Going through the publication process can be especially helpful for those interested in pursuing a career in publishing.

The purpose of Sustainability Alliance is to collaborate with students and the Office of Sustainability to promote sustainable living practices among the lives of students. Tabletop Gaming Club

The TTG Club exists to create an environment where SJU and CSB students who enjoy playing Magic: the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, or any other tabletop games can get together to compete, trade magic cards and exchange information. The TTG Club will provide a safe, comfortable, welcoming, and friendly environment in which all are welcome to come and play, talk about, or simply be around games of this nature.

United Politics Club

The mission of this club is to offer a forum for students to discuss political ideas and current events. This club is meant to be nonpartisan and policy oriented. The purpose and need for this club comes from the increasingly visible trend of political divisiveness on display today. Being able to communicate with each other and understand the nuances of how ideas and policy are formed is essential to a healthy democracy. Our mission is to return to the roots and principles of intellectual discussion while simultaneously beginning a new type of policy based dialogue that is lacking today with the goal to have members realize the importance of compromise and intellectual understanding. This fits with our institutions Benedictine values of listening and respect for persons.

Up 'Til Dawn

As outlined by the club constitution, the purpose of Up ‘til Dawn is to "raise much needed dollars for the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital" while uniting the CSB/SJU campus communities around this charitable cause. The efforts will be led by the Executive Board, which offers "students the opportunity to accumulate valuable, practical knowledge through their Executive Board planning and program execution work."
