Article II: Membership
Section 1: Eligibility for Membership
Open to any student on CSBSJU.
CSBSJU Student: Voting members
Non-students/CSBSJU Faculty: non-voting members
Section 2: Voting Member Criteria
Anyone can come to dance practice! If someone wants to perform with the CSBSJU Irish Dancers, they must come to at least 2 practices each month.
Section 3: Removal of Members
If a member who is part of the performance aspect of the club fails to come to 2 practices each month, they will be notified by email letting them know they have not been attending practice enough. If the member is missing practice because of school assignments or other school-related activities, they will get a pass. But if they are missing practice because of something non-school related, they will be asked to start coming to more practices and if they fail to do this, they will be considered for removal and asked to defend their position.
Article III: Officers
Section 1: Officer Qualifications
To be an officer, a student must have previous experience in Irish Dance and/or have been dancing with CSBSJU Irish Dancers for at least 2 years. They must be a current CSBSJU student.

Section 3: Duties of Officers
Attend each meeting (and fill in if another main contact is gone), help teach dances, create dances, look for performance opportunities and help put together performances.
Section 4: Vacancy in Office
If one of the officers is gone, then the other 2 will continue the club. If they are all gone, members of the performance group will vote for new officers that have experience in Irish Dancing.
Section 5: Removal of Officers
Officers will be emailed and voting will be held.
Article V: Advisor

We asked an FYS professor who is eager to learn more about Irish Culture and Dance.

Article VI: Meetings
Section 1: Regular Meeting/Club Activities
We will meet once (or twice) a week in the BAC. We will email and post on the CSBSJU Irish Dancer Facebook group page.
Section 2: Special Meetings
We would call a special meeting if there is a performance we need to practice for. These meetings will be run in much the same way, just focusing more on the performance material.
Article VII: Finances
Section 1: Co-Funding Board
We will apply for CFB monies so we can have special events and travel for performances.
Article IX: Amendments
Section 1: Ratification
Propose an idea and let the officers know, and we will review it.
Section 2: Submittal to Department of Student Activities and Joint Club Board
Any changes made to this constitution must be submitted to the Department of Student Activities and the JCB.
Article X (The following is a required statement for all clubs and organizations)
The CSBSJU Irish Dancers admits students without regard to their race, religion, color, sex, age, sexual orientation, or national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and other activities, generally accorded or made available to members of the organization.
Article XI (The following is a required statement for all clubs and organizations)
The CSBSJU Irish Dancers considers hazing to be a degrading and destructive activity which is inconsistent with the standards of this student organization. The CSBSJU Irish Dancers recognizes the dignity of every person and opposes all forms of hazing.
