Food

Food is a great way to lure students to your meeting or event.  Think about creative ways to have fun with food!

Co-Funding Board guidelines allow clubs to request funding for two food events per semester. One food event must be open to the entire CSB/SJU student body, while the other should be an internal club food event (for club members only).

  • The CFB reserves the right to set a standard for all club food events while deliberating.
  • The co-funding board will not pay for food purchased while on any trip, including trips to conferences and off-campus events.

According to the policies established by CSB Culinary Services and SJU Dining Services...

food and beverage items must be purchased through CSB Culinary Services or SJU Dining Services. Exceptions for meetings, events, etc. need to be cleared through food service. Food Service at CSB can be reached at x5146 and SJU Food Service can be reached at x2240.

To book an event, please have the following information available:

  • Name and address of person placing the order
  • Name, address, and phone number of contact person
  • Name of sponsoring organization, if applicable
  • Date and time of the event, to include beginning and ending times
  • Location on campus: room choice and physical set-up of the room
  • Approximate number of guests

    • Provide vegetarian food options.
    • If you have anything salty or sweet, provide something to drink.

To provide the best possible service to your group,  all requests for catered events should be placed a minimum of two weeks prior to the event.

No food or beverage will be permitted to be brought into the banquet/meeting/classtoom(s) by patrons or their guests without written permission of the director of culinary or dining services.

Final confirmation of numbers must be made no later than 7 business days in advance of an event. However, it is highly recommended that all numbers are confirmed as soon as possible to ensure the best possible service and selection for your guests. In the event of unexpected last-minute needs, please call and the professional staff will make every effort to accommodate your group.

All food and beverage remains the property of the institutional culinary and dining services departments. For this reason and for your safety, food may not be removed from the premises where it is served.
