It's flu season: encourage your son or daughter to take steps to stay healthy

The Minnesota Department of Health and local officials are reporting unusually high occurrences of the regular -"seasonal"- influenza (flu).  Influenza spreads when a person with the flu coughs or sneezes. As parents, you can help us prevent the spread of influenza at CSB/SJU by talking with your son or daughter about how to prevent the spread of the flu.


The 2012 year in review at CSB and SJU

SJU names Gary Fasching head football coach

Gary Fasching, a 1981 SJU graduate, becomes the 16th head coach in the 102-year history of Johnnie football and replaces John Gagliardi, who announced his retirement Nov. 19 following 60 seasons at SJU. 


CSB leads in energy savings

At the College of Saint Benedict, energy conservation equals savings. A recent comparison of CSB and its peer group of schools during the 2011-12 fiscal year shows that the college consumes an average of just under 80,000 Btu/GSF (British thermal unit per gross square foot), while peer schools averaged 114,387 Btu/GSF.


Career Services plans activities for spring semester

As spring semester gets underway, Career Services is looking forward to all the events we will be sponsoring..  We will continue our information sessions for students attending the Minnesota Private College Job and Internship Fair Feb. 20-21 in Minneapolis. 


Start preparations now for 2013-14 financial aid application

If your son or daughter will be returning for the 2013-14 academic year, now is the time to start preparing your 2013-14 financial aid application. Families should first complete and submit a federal tax return, as information from the return is needed on the application.

CSB Culinary Services welcomes back students

Culinary Services staff welcomed CSB and SJU students back to campus with complimentary hot cocoa inside the Gorecki Dining and Conference Center entrance on Jan. 14.  This is also the time for students to sign up for a meal plan if they haven't already done so.
