Please join us as we kick-off the Saint John's Sesquicentennial Celebration with a special Opening Day on April 5th marking 150 years since monks from Saint Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe, Pennsylvania departed for Minnesota.
5:00 PM, Saint John’s Abbey Church Eucharist
This Eucharist will be a special celebration with Archabbot Douglas Nowicki, OSB, Abbot of Saint Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe, Pennsylvania as presider and homilist.
8:00 PM, Stephen B. Humphrey Auditorium
We will have music by the Saint John’s Men’s Chorus; special guests: Archabbot Douglas Nowicki, OSB, abbot of Saint Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe, Pennsylvania; Fr. Hilary Thimmesh, OSB, editor of the Sesquicentennial Book, Saint John’s at 150: A Portrait of this Place Called Collegeville and guest writers to the book; plus a fabulous video slide show of Saint John’s by Br. Simon-Hoà Phan, OSB.
Refreshments will be served: Introducing the Sesquicentennial Cookie!
