Working Groups
The Retirees Association does a major part of its work through working groups. Currently we are forming a new working group.
The working group will work with our HR departments so that our institutions can create a more effective process for coordinating volunteers. Its tasks might include identifying volunteer opportunities on our campuses, helping put together a web site that will give potential volunteers more information about opportunities at our institutions, preparing an orientation program for new volunteers, and preparing a workshop for those who coordinate and supervise volunteers. This is a task that may take some time, but it is one we envision people will be able to move in and out of based on their time and talent.
