Kamau Joseph ’11 is a junior political science and computer science double major from Trinidad and Tobago. Before finding himself at St. John’s University, Kamau was involved in the Sixth Trinidad Sea Scouts for eight years and was part of the BP Renegades Youth Steel Orchestra for four years. During his year off after high school he took interest in the United Nations Association of Trinidad and Tobago and later helped co-found the first youth United Nations Association in his country, the Youth of the United Nations Group of Trinidad and Tobago (YOUNG-TT). Since first coming to St. John’s, he has become increasingly involved with various aspects of campus life including Student Senate, the Joint Events Council and the Cultural Affairs Board. He is committed to remaining actively involved in his college community.
