Kathleen Norris

Award-winning writer, poet and essayist - Her books, including Dakota: A Spiritual Geography, The Cloister Walk and Amazing Grace: A Vocabulary of Faith, and her most recent book: Acedia & Me: A Marriage, Monks, and a Writer's Life, have inspired and encouraged untold numbers of modern-day spiritual pilgrims.  Recipient of Guggenheim and Bush Foundation awards, she has been published in anthologies, magazines and journals, including The New Yorker and The New York Times Magazine.  Norris received her B.A. from Bennington College.  She was the eleventh recipient of the Colman J. Barry Award at Saint John’s University.  She divides her time between Honolulu, Hawaii and Western South Dakota
