Internship Program
The Washington D.C. Summer Study Program is an 8-credit learning community program.
In addition to working in Washington D.C., participants are expected to learn about the sites where other program participants are working, to participate in orientation meetings, seminars, and workshops, as assigned throughout the year and through the summer.
Students live in community in furnished apartments near the Metro and experience life as a urban professional.
Washington DC Summer Internship Program - Summer 2004
Ten students from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University interned in Washington D.C. during June and July 2004 through the Washington D.C. Summer Study Program sponsored by the CSB/SJU department of political science. The program was co-directed by Kay Wolsborn and Charles Rambeck (Department of Economics).

- Megan Bjerke, senior Political Science Major. D.C. Internship site: D.C. Office of the Corporation Counsel, Civil Litigation Division, General Litigation Section.
- Britt Cecconi, senior Political Science Major. D.C. Internship site: Economic Strategy Institute - policy advocacy group.
- Kelly Clark, senior Political Science Major. D.C. Internship Site: National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, policy interest group.
- Benjamin Merrill, senior Political Science Major. D.C. Internship Site: U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Communications, Office of Justice Programs.
- Sophie Mohin, senior Political Science Major, English Minor. D.C. Internship Site: U.S. Department of Commerce, Central and Eastern Europe Business Information Center.
- Jeffrey Morency, senior Political Science Major. D.C. Internship site: Council for the National Interest - policy advocacy group.
- Gevon Moss, senior Economics Major. D.C. Internship site: Embassy of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
- Anna Murayama, senior Liberal Studies Major. D.C. Internship site: Chwat and Company, Inc. - public policy advocates.
- Eric Olson, senior Political Science Major. D.C. Internship site: Campaign for America's Future - Democratic interest group.
- Damir Tokic, senior Political Science Major. D.C. Internship site: David Turch and Associates - public policy advocates.
