The practicum offers senior psychology majors teaching experience by assisting with introductory psychology labs.
Students can pursue their own research under the direction of a faculty member. Current students are conducting research with the Morris Water Maze, the Skinner Operant Conditioning Chamber, self-understanding among college students, a chronic mild stress model of depression, school-age bullying, perceptual categorization, post traumatic stress disorder and profiling political personalities.
Many faculty members are active scholars and researchers who welcome student collaboration. Students have the opportunity to be directly involved in scholarly work with faculty in both short-term and ongoing research projects.
