Peer Resource Program members are CSB/SJU students who strive to enhance the college experience by creating awareness of issues and aspects of college life. We do this by offering a variety of experiences aimed at positive risk taking, self-growth, trust, wellness, communication, and group development.
Programs offered by the PRP’s may be different from other activities you have engaged in. PRP’s are not there to "lead" you, or even "guide" you. Instead, they serve as facilitators – people who can ensure that a trip is your trip, is safe both for you and the environment, and that it will mean something more than miles traveled or hills climbed. On a PRP trip, expect to teach and learn from all fellow students.
The Peer Resource Program believes in leaving no trace of human contact in the natural environment. We sponsor outdoor programs that allow one to escape daily pressures and seek peaceful experiences while preserving the environment. Our low impact philosophy is based on the following guidelines.
For detailed information please visit Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics
In order to fully enjoy each other’s company and the environments to which we travel, the Peer Resource Program does not allow drugs, tobacco products or alcohol on our programs. Consider this policy a personal challenge for the length of the PRP sponsored program, and one which can contribute to self-growth.
A participant, who withdraws from a program five working days prior to a program’s departure or start, will receive a full refund. After this point, a refund cannot be guaranteed. To cancel from a program a participant must go to the Personal and Professional Development Center (Mary Hall 10). Cancellations cannot be taken over the phone or via email. A PRP member cannot transact cancellations.
